HOW TO USE ABU PORTAL: COURSE REGISTRATION
We promised in our earlier post here to write about course registration, we are here to fulfill that promise as we’ll be writing about accommodation clicking next.
If you read the earlier post here you should now know how to access the portal log in and pay your school fees.
Now, we are going to explain how to do your course registration, this is the most delicate tab on the portal and as landed a lot of people in trouble.
Before i go on let me state this; if you still use your state as your password please go and change it under the profile tab on the portal. That way no one will have your password at random and when that is done please and please don’t share your password with anyone.
Step1 and 2: Read how to log into the portal here
Step3: Click on Course Registration tab
Step5: Your core courses will be showing on the screen there if you’ve done everything correctly, just select the lecture group (mostly 1) and lab group if it’s a practical course then click on the check button at the end, repeat the process for all course you’ll like to select
Step6: This is the difficult part, if the course is an elective or a core from another level, department or faculty. Make sure you know the faculty and department and level correctly and do this,
Step7: Click on more courses, You’ll see a group of drop down list, click on the first on from the left (Select Faculty), if you select the right faculty, list of department under that faculty would appear in the next box (Select Department), then level (100,200 or 700).
Step8: Select the courses as stated in step5 above, when you are done with all your selection. Click on the button below and your course form will come out in a tabular form and be ready for printing
NB: Please to always print your course form and make sure your level officer signs it because that’ll be your only lifeline if a particular course doesn’t appear on your exams card
